Our clinical-yet-holistic approach integrates multiple modalities to identify and restore roots causes of psychosomatic imbalances between mind, body, and relationships. Â
Somatic therapy focuses on using awareness, movement, breath, and fostering a strong therapeutic rapport to address pain, tension, emotional, and relational imbalances.
The tools, iterated with the appropriate support from providers and practices from students, create a pathway for deeper healing, self-actualization, and a sense of meaning, purpose, and joy in your daily life.Â
Whether you’re addressing chronic pain, improving movement, or seeking deeper intimacy, our somatic therapy methods provide a pathway to a more balanced, confident, and embodied life. Each of the modalities we offer can stand alone, complement another, or be combined into a Personalized Treatment Plan after completing an Intake Evaluation.Â
Â

The Body Intuitive provides world-class clinical somatic therapy services and trauma-informed holistic healthcare solutions. We transform chronic pain to empowerment & possibility; and chaos to calm & connection.
This is what makes us unique, and why our clients get superior care and lasting results, even for complex or severe psychosomatic imbalances.
Our modalities—Therapeutic Bodywork, Rehabilitative Mobility, and Intimacy Coaching—are grounded in these principles, offering a comprehensive path to wellness. Each modality—bodywork, mobility, and intimacy coaching—offers unique benefits, but together they create a powerful, holistic approach to healing.
- Bodywork provides immediate relief and identifies areas of tension.
- Mobility training addresses the underlying causes of physical imbalances.
- Intimacy coaching integrates emotional and relational well-being into the healing process.
- Sports recovery integrates the lymphatic, digestive, and immune systems through detoxifying treatments to boost well-being, relieve soreness, and expedite the recovery process.Â

Each service works independently or synergistically.
Each modality at The Body Intuitive can stand alone or be combined into a Personalized Treatment Plan for a truly holistic approach to healing.Â
Our approach fills a critical gap for those suffering from chronic pain, trauma, injuries, and other psychosomatic imbalances. Because healing is inherently relational, we also teaching our clients skills to deepen connection in their intimate and interpersonal relationships.Â
- to resolve mobility limitations, relieve pain, and reduce inflammation
At The Body Intuitive, we tailor personalized treatment plans using a range of both passive and active modalities to meet each client's unique goals, preferences, personal history, and needs. These modalities a powerful synergy that goes beyond putting a band-aid on symptoms to identify and to treat root causes of imbalances. This interconnected approach ensures that we’re optimizing long-term outcomes and longevity.Â
Your provider will work with you through a Holistic Intake Evaluation to create a personalized treatment plan that optimizes your investment of resources, time, and effort for lasting relief and transformation.Â

RELEASE TENSION. RELAX THE MIND. CONNECT WITH YOUR BODY, BREATH, AND PROVIDER.Â
Clients often say, “You knew exactly where to go!” - and that's why Missy is "The Body Intuitive."
Bodywork (also known as "massage therapy") is the most universally-known modality we offer, and a common place for our students to start. TBIÂ specializes in trauma-informed care to nourish your nervous system and release physical tension. Using intuitive techniques, we address areas of pain, stiffness, or imbalance, helping you feel more at ease in your body.Â
Â
PASSIVE INTERVENTIONS FIRST
Your nervous system and mind have to be ready before we approach active interventions.
Thus, your provider may first recommend you prepare the body and mind through passive-based interventions, such as bodywork, which work directly with these layers of the Kosha Mayas ("aspects of being").
Bodywork, including massage and other "passive" treatments, provides immediate relief by addressing physical tension and pain.Â
Passive treatments—where an external force, like a therapist’s hands or tools, administers movement—include massage, acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, and more.
Â
BODYWORK IS IDEAL FOR
- relieving sore muscles and stiff joints by improving circulation and reducing inflammation
- awareness and attunement to body sensations, thoughts, emotions; promotes relaxation and emotional release
- supporting nervous system regulation; building rapport and trust with your therapist
- communicating energetically vs with words if self-awareness and/or emotional expression is blocked, limited, or difficult for the client
RELIEVE AND RECONNECT
Â
BODYWORK SESSIONS CANNOT EVALUATE, DIAGNOSE, OR PROVIDE A STANDALONE LONG -TERM SOLUTION FOR CHRONIC PAIN
Bodywork is not just about relaxation—it informs and complements other modalities by highlighting areas that need deeper attention. Whether as a standalone treatment or part of a broader plan, bodywork lays the foundation for physical and emotional healing.
Bodywork alone may not be sufficient or appropriate as a standalone modality to address acute imbalances or for fully addressing the root cause of imbalance for those dealing with chronic pain, injuries, and/or trauma.
That’s why, at The Body Intuitive, we pair bodywork with active modalities like Rehabilitative Mobility and Intimacy Coaching. By integrating bodywork into a broader somatic framework, we not only provide relaxation but also inform deeper healing by identifying patterns of tension and imbalance.Â
Our therapeutic bodywork focuses on evidence-based massage therapy practices to address pain management and integrative care.
We offer both in-studio and outcall sessions, ensuring flexibility and convenience for our clients. Check out our service delivery options.

BREAK FREE OF FEAR, INCONSISTENCY, AND LIMITATIONS. MOVE BETTER. GET STRONGER.
Rehabilitative Mobility combines joint mobility rehabilitation, functional movement, postural assessment, yoga therapy, and strength training to improve range of motion, bilateral muscular symmetry, and overall flexibility, strength, and body awareness.
Â
ACTIVE AFTER PASSIVEÂ INTERVENTIONS
Assessing the relationship between passive and active range of motion is key to understanding pain, tension, or injury.Â
Through mobility assessments, we identify key discrepancies. Large gaps between these ranges often indicate underlying issues, such as overcompensation or limited mobility. Â
Unlike passive treatments, active mobility involves movement generated by your own body, empowering you to take an active role in your healing.
This approach is designed to aid in injury recovery, reducing inflammation and tightness, improving functional movement patterns, and learning how to program a proper balance of active training with restorative methods.
The Holistic Intake Evaluation equips you with a personalized roadmap and targeted plans to close the gap, resulting in reduced pain, improved function, and enhanced body awareness.
Â
MOBILITY TRAINING IS IDEAL FOR:
- Improving flexibility, strength, movement patterns, and overall body awareness through active range of motion exercises.Â
- Addressing the root causes of physical imbalances or weaknesses, aids in injury recovery, and enhances movement patterns to prevent future problems.
- Identifying, learning, and adapting targeted stretches, mobility, strength, flexibility, and balance training exercises to restore functional movement and to reduce pain
- Integrating into your fitness, training, sports, and/or functional movement programs
- Easily incorporated into coaching packages or online courses, mobility training empowers clients with personalized exercises and techniques tailored to their specific needs.
- Mobility rehabilitation and training works seamlessly with bodywork to ensure long-term physical health and resilience.
STRENGTHEN JOINTS AND RELIEVE MUSKCULOSKELETAL PAINÂ
Particularly effective when paired with bodywork, mobility training addresses both the symptoms and root causes of discomfort, offering a comprehensive solution for lasting relief.
Mobility work focuses on assessing and improving your body’s functional movement. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or looking to enhance your range of motion, we create a personalized treatment plan to help you restore balance and strength.
Rehabilitative Mobility is infused into our somatic therapy packages and online courses, providing a comprehensive and personalized approach to mobility. During a Holistic Intake Evaluation, a student can have their mobility assessed to receive tailored guidance that aligns with their unique needs.

RELEASE SHAME. EMBODY CONFIDENCE. DEEPEN CONNECTION.
Intimacy is a cornerstone of human connection, yet it can often feel elusive or challenging to cultivate. In a culture that often prioritizes sexualization over genuine connection, many people struggle to explore or care for their sexual well-being. While you may practice holistic body care like yoga or meditation, you might lack a self-care routine for your sexual health. It’s okay to feel unsure about where to start or who to ask for help—that’s where Intimacy Coaching comes in.
Our 1x1 intimacy and interpersonal relationship coaching is designed to support clients in fostering deeper connections with themselves and building healthier, more fulfilling relationships with others. Using somatic principles, we focus on emotional awareness, communication, and vulnerability to help you create meaningful and lasting connections.
Through this experience and coaching container, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. This process involves exploring emotional awareness, communication, and vulnerability—key elements that create the foundation for meaningful connections. By learning to express your needs and desires clearly, set healthy boundaries, and embrace your unique sexuality, you can unlock a new level of confidence and intimacy in your life.
One of the most significant advantages of intimacy coaching is the opportunity to develop new skills for building healthy, lasting relationships. These skills include:
- Communicating your needs and desires with clarity and confidence.
- Setting and respecting healthy boundaries.
- Exploring both physical and emotional intimacy in a way that feels safe and empowering.
- Releasing shame and embracing your sexuality as a natural, positive force in your life.
Intimacy Coaching isn’t just for couples. Individuals can benefit greatly from this work by exploring their relationship with themselves and their sexuality. This includes uncovering and understanding fantasies, desires, and body positivity, as well as healing from societal or cultural beliefs that may have caused shame or disconnection.
Â
Our sessions offer a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals to explore topics like sexual health, pleasure, emotional intimacy, and communication. Whether facing partnership challenges or wanting to reconnect with your body and desires, this approach supports growth and healing.

We focus on the philosophy of "love thyself first." We work with you one-on-one to strengthen your most important relationship: with yourself. This involves building energetic discipline, self-awareness, and accountability for your emotional needs. By caring for yourself first, you can engage more fully in relationships and find greater joy. Our method uses holistic and somatic techniques to help you regain control over your sexuality. Ignoring this energy can lead to disconnection and frustration.Â
Whether you want to improve a partnership or reconnect with your sexuality, this coaching offers a path to empowerment and self-discovery. It's not just about attraction or physical connection. It's about building healthy, fulfilling relationships with the intimacy you seek. By addressing emotional patterns and providing tools for honest communication, intimacy coaching helps you break free from limiting beliefs and embrace your true self.
Each session is tailored to your unique needs and goals, with a focus on:
- Communicating needs and desires: Learn to express yourself clearly and confidently in relationships.
- Setting healthy boundaries: Establish and maintain boundaries that honor your well-being and foster mutual respect.
- Cultivating emotional intimacy: Deepen your connections through vulnerability and authentic expression.
- Empowering personal growth: Develop self-awareness and take responsibility for your patterns and behaviors.
This work aims to reclaim your identity, release shame, and build confidence in your personal and social life. It goes beyond attraction to focus on lasting relationships.
Using somatic principles, we help you manage tough conversations, build trust, and create safe spaces for exploration and vulnerability.
